Tadzhikistan Journey

The last of the Marguzor Lakes or Seven Beauties, in the South of Pendzhikent..The Seven Lakes is a series of long and narrow natural dams formed by land slides blocking the Shing River over the last few thousand years. They occur south of the village of Shing in the Fann Mountains, accessible by road from Penjikent in central western Tajikistan. The Seven Lakes are a climb of 800 metres over a distance of 14 kilometres to an elevation of 2,400 metres above sea level.
