Two Hazara Mujahedin's at the Kakrak Buddha 6 meters statue in 1996. In the Kakrak Valley, 2 kilometres south of the giant Bamiyan Buddha cliff , there is a 6 meters standing Buddha in a niche which was discovered in 1930. The Buddha niche is also surrounded by caves but the paintings were painstakingly removed by French archaeologists. Some scholars consider these mystic diagrams from Kakrak to be the earliest specimens of the type of cosmic Mandala found today in Nepal and Tibet.
